اليوم العالمي للمرأة - مخيم الحديقة

بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للمرأة، نظمت المفوضية السامية للاجئين التابعة للأمم المتحدة حدثًا مميزا بالتعاون مع مؤسسة نور الحسين I ومؤسسة نهر الأردن، ووكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في الشرق الأدنى (الأونروا)، ومديرية شؤون اللاجئين السوريين في مخيم الحديقة، داخل خيمة اليونيسيف. حضر الحدث ثمانية وثلاثون امرأة لاجئة من الجنسية السورية والفلسطينية. شهد الحدث مجموعة من الأنشطة الملهمة تتماشى مع موضوع اليوم العالمي للمرأة: "الإستثمار في المرأة، لتسريع وتيرة التقدم".
ومن أجل إثراء هذا الحدث، قامت مؤسسة نهر الأردن بتسهيل نقاش بين المشاركين حول موضوع تمكين المرأة وقدمت جلسة علاج بالفن. وفي الختام، قامت مؤسسة نهر الأردن بتوزيع الهدايا على جميع المشاركين باختصار، أعرب المشاركون عن انطلق الحدث بكلمة افتتاحية من ممثل مدير إدارة أمن المخيم و ممثلة عن المفوضية السامية بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للمرأة، ومن ثم قامت وكالة الأمم المتحدة لإغاثة وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في الشرق الأدنى (الأونروا) بتوزيع رسائل ملهمة حول هذا اليوم، وقدمت عرضا تقديميًا يسلط الضوء على خدماتها. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، نظمت مؤسسة نور الحسين جلسة توعية شملت مناقشات جماعية وتوصيات من المشاركين حول تمكين المرأة، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على أهمية التمكين الاقتصادي. ولإعطاء نشاط للحضور، قدمت مؤسسة نور الحسين أيضا المرطبات. رضاهم العميق عن الحدث، وعكسوا الفرحة التي أضفاها لهم.
International Women’s Day - Garden Camp

In commemoration of International Women’s Day, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees orchestrated a dynamic event in partnership with the Nour Al Hussein Foundation (NHF), Jordan River Foundation (JRF), United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and the Syrian Refugees Affairs Directorate (SRAD) at Garden Camp. Thirty-eight refugee women of Syrian and Palestinian nationality attended the event. The event boasted an array of captivating activities in line with the theme of International Women’s Day: "Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress."
Kicking off with an inspiring speeches marking International Women’s Day were done by the representatives from SRAD and UNHCR. After that, UNRWA disseminated key messages and introduced a presentation highlighting UNRWA services. Additionally, the Nour Al Hussein Foundation conducted an awareness session featuring group discussions and recommendations from participants on women’s empowerment, particularly focusing on the importance of economic empowerment. To rejuvenate the attendees, the NHF also provided refreshments.
Further enriching the event, the Jordan River Foundation facilitated a debate among participants about women’s empowerment and presented an art therapy session. As a grand finale, the JRF distributed gifts to all participants. In summary, participants expressed their profound satisfaction with the event, reflecting on the joy it brought them.
