احتفالاً بيوم المرأة العالمي، نظم شركاء المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين المتمثلين بمركز الأميرة بسمة للتنمية البشرية، بالتعاون مع اللجان الدعم المجتمعي في جرش، ومؤسسة نور الحسين، وبلدية جرش الكبرى، جلسة حوارية مهمة بعنوان "دور المرأة الأردنية واللاجئة في الحياة العامة ودورها الإيجابي". حضر الحدث 50 امرأة أردنية ولاجئة سورية، وتضمن الحدث أنشطة حيوية مثل كلمات من صناع القرار ونشطاء المجتمع، ومناقشات مختلفة، وتوزيع الهدايا بين المشاركين. يجدر التأكيد على أن جميع الأنشطة كانت تتوافق مع شعار يوم المرأة العالمي: "الاستثمار في المرأة، لتسريع وتيرة التقدم."
في بداية الفعالية، ألقت معالي السيدة فاطمة عرارة ، نائب رئيس مجلس محافظة جرش، كلمة أبرزت الدور الحيوي للمنظمات الدولية والمحلية، وكذلك المؤسسات المحلية، في تقديم خدمات الدعم للمرأة الأردنية واللاجئة. بعد كلمتها ، شارك نشطاء المجتمع في حوار يسلط الضوء على أهمية شمول اللاجئات والنساء الأردنيات في المبادرات المتعلقة بتمكينهن اجتماعيا واقتصاديًا. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تناولت مؤسسة نور الحسين التحديات الثقافية ا. والاجتماعيـــــــــــــــة التي تواجه النساء في مجتمعنا.
وفي ختام الفعاليات ، تم تنظيم العديد من الحوارات والنقاشات لتسليط الضوء على التحديات التي تواجه النساء والاستراتيجيات للتعامل معها، مع التأكيد على أهمية تمكين المرأة اقتصاديًا. وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم توزيع الهدايا بين المشاركين تكريمًا ليوم المرأة العالمي وعيد الأم. وكان أحد أبرز اللحظات خلال الاحتفال عندما عبر المشاركون عن سعادتهم ورضاهم عن الفعالية .
International Women’s Day / Jerash

To commemorate of International Women’s Day, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) partners presented by the Princess Basma for Human Development Center, in cooperation with the Community Support Committees (CSCs) Jerash, the Nour Al Hussein Foundation (NHF), and the Greater Jerash Municipality, hosted a significant dialogue session titled 'The Role of Jordanian and Refugee Women in Public Life and Their Positively Role in Our Community'. Attended by 50 Jordanian and refugee women, the event comprised noteworthy activities such as speeches by decision-makers and community activists, various discussions and dialogues, and the distribution of gifts among participants. It's worth highlighting that all activities were in alignment with the theme of International Women’s Day: 'Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress.
At the onset of the event, Her Excellency Mrs. Fatima Arara, Vice Chairman of the Jerash Governorate Council, delivered a speech highlighting the pivotal role of international and local organizations, as well as local institutions, in offering support services for Jordanian and refugee women. Following her address, community activists engaged in a dialogue underscoring the significance of inclusivity for both refugee and Jordanian women in social and economic empowerment initiatives. Additionally, the Nour Al Hussein Foundation (NHF) addressed the cultural and social challenges confronting women in our community.
At the conclusion of the event, numerous dialogues and discussions were organized to shed light on the challenges confronting women and strategies to address them, emphasizing the importance of economic empowerment for women. Furthermore, gifts were distributed among participants in commemoration of International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day. A notable moment during the event occurred when participants expressed their happiness and satisfaction with the proceedings.
